Scientia Potentia – Knowledge is Power

Latin – Cycle 3, Week 1 – Claritas Classical Academy

Every kid has a bad day when they feel that it is too hard to complete all of school work they need to do. This is not new to the human tradition. Sir Francis Bacon used the latin term “scientia potentia” which means “knowledge is power”. Maybe the modernized term “no pain, no gain”, was realized through this observation. I pray you are able to press on, whether young or old, no matter where you find yourself today!  ~Laura

Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you. Philippians 3:13-15
